Learn more about 'how e-hireable are you?':
We’re surveying Britain (and beyond) to see how people are using internet technology to find work online. We ask you to complete a short survey, and based on what you’ve done online to look for work we award you a score between 0 and 100 to measure your personal e-hireability (yes, we know that’s a new word!).
The survey is fun and helps graduates understand how to best use the internet to find a job and also helps employers improve the way they communicate with graduates. It will also help settle an internal argument that maths graduates (our developers) are much better at using the Internet than marketing graduates (our project team). The survey is operated by Enhance Media Limited – specialists in online recruitment strategy and multi-award winners for online recruitment research - so you can be sure it adheres to strict market research guidelines and that your data is safe and confidential.
You can take the test, see the results or read more in our FAQs.
Your e-hirable score
According to your personal e-score, you will belong to one of the following e-groups.
e-virgins - at the very beginning of their e-journey with a whole e-world out there to discover!
e-learners - comfortable online and keen to discover more. This group is exploring and learning all the time. Lots of room for improvement if they want to use the full potential of the internet to find work.
e-students - regular internet users, relaxed and at ease with what the web has to offer. There’s still plenty of work to do though, if this group wants to use the internet really effectively to find work.
e-citizens - true digital citizens, belonging to the largest e-group on the web. This group is still developing its range of online interests and activities and is already fluent with many online jobseeking tools. There are still new methods to learn if they really want to compete and succeed in their online job search.
e-vangelists – have been e-active for a while now and use the internet for a wide range of job seeking activities. These candidates will stand out from the lower scoring e-groups, but could still learn from the e-experts and e-masters if they want to be trul-‘e’-irresistible!
e-experts – well above the average in understanding, exploring, and using the digital universe to find work. This group has a much better chance of finding top quality jobs online and will really make a strong impression with potential employers.
e-masters – a rare breed, in the top 1% of all the e-groups. They thoroughly understand and apply all of the skills needed to achieve the results they want when job seeking. They are innovative, persistent, and consistently optimise their online presence to employers. We all have a lot to learn from these e-masters!
